Default Weekly Poll: Would you consider joining and participating in a SHS Book Club?

So, I have been pondering this idea for a bit. I know the forum is much quieter than it used to be, thank you Facebook.
But, as a homeschooling Mom, I know that I tend to take care of myself last. That includes my reading and my brain.
I was thinking of seeing if a few(or more) members would like to start up an SHS Parent Book Club. We could each take turns picking out a book and then come back and comment on it as we read it or keep it quiet and at end of reading period, say 1 month.
I know I need to get out of a reading rut and be forced to read new material, as well as adult interaction on said book vs. talking to myself. Even if it is online.

Anyone interested? Vote in the poll and if you ARE interested, let me know in comments so I have a record of you!!

I voted yes. Just because I am an Admin and the face of SHS doesn't mean I don't love hanging out with you! Not to mention my brain needs the interaction.

PERFECT! So far, it is just the 2 of us. HAHA. I am hoping for at least 1-2 more but I will be setting up the Book Club area in the forum to post what book we will read or are reading and then we can comment. Maybe if we start, others will join... kind of a field of dreams deal!LOL

Dalilah -Do you have a book you would like to pick for our first read? Something you have and been meaning to read or something you have wanted to check out? Random pick... whatever! Let me know and I will grab a copy.

Although SecularHomeschool.com, and its members, have worked hard to compile a comprehensive directory of secular curricula, it does not attest that all materials advertised on our site, in our newsletters, or on our social media profiles are 100% secular. Rather, SecularHomeschool.com respects the aptitude of each individual homeschool parent to fully research any curriculum before acquiring it, to ensure that it holistically meets the educational, personal, and philosophical goals of each homeschooler.
