Do your children listen to music while studying?
My oldest daughter is now in college, but I had to give up trying to get her to study without music. It just works for her.
When they were all younger, we would have classical music playing softly in the background. I liked the calming feel it gave.

Both of my kids (college students now, but started this in high school) listen to music while studying. For dd it's usually film scores. For ds, it's electronica or ambient music. Funny, both typically listen to music w/o lyrics.

Homeschooled two kids for 11 years, now trying to pay it forward

Daughter -- a University of Iowa graduate: BA in English with Creative Writing, BA in Journalism, and a minor in Gender, Women & Sexuality Studies

Son -- a Purdue University graduate: BS in Computer Science, minor in math, geology, anthropology, and history

I had to put other. There is one online game that my son loves to play which involves listening to Korean music and following a pattern on the screen as fast as you can... This game is called OSU. Otherwise, my son watches and listens to games and not music while doing his lessons. He goes in fits and starts. But he does get the lessons done.
