  1. Rachel, for some reason I cant send you a private message, but this is Cara Ziegel, who wrote you asking about how a homeschooler would get in to that conference, and if i could spread the word. But I think for me its probably not worth the drive and the money at this time, to see Michael speak.

Yes, you are welcome to use my comments.

  2. I see you live in Richmond VA. MCT is presenting on Friday 11 March at William and Mary and the organisers of the Curriculum Network Conference have agreed a special rate (though it's $50 and we have not been able to persuade them to lower it), for homeschoolers for his session. And this is if they get enough takers. And keep in touch if you would like to meet MCT there.

    2. You wrote about MCT and we'd love to use it with your permission, on the website and in the homeschool brochure. If you agree, let me know how you would wish it to be attributed. This was it:

"many parents learn a LOT from going through the program. Plus its really a great read! Some of the books started with an example of using socratic questioning in a classroom - I think discussing the materials with your child is really a significant part of it. This is the only subject we are really doing this way and I feel like it is the richest part of our homeschool experience. "

SecularHomeschool.com is a community and information source where secular homeschoolers ARE the majority. It is the home for non-religious homeschoolers, eclectic homeschoolers, freethinking homeschoolers AND anyone interested in homeschooling irrespective of religion. This site is an INCLUSIVE community that recognizes that homeschoolers choose secular homeschool materials and resources for a variety of reasons and to accomplish a variety of personal and educational goals. Although SecularHomeschool.com, and its members, have worked hard to compile a comprehensive directory of secular curricula, it does not attest that all materials advertised on our site, in our newsletters, or on our social media profiles are 100% secular. Rather, SecularHomeschool.com respects the aptitude of each individual homeschool parent to fully research any curriculum before acquiring it, to ensure that it holistically meets the educational, personal, and philosophical goals of each homeschooler.
