Hi ejsmom, I have enjoyed reading some of your thoughts and comments. I also am a mom to an EJ born in 2003. Funny how that works. I am new to the site and still finding my way around but just wanted to comment on the similarity and say Hi!

I may be different than some parents, YES my son gets to stay home with me, YES he learns at his own pace, and YES we CAN take field trips whenever we want! But I wouldn't change our decisions, and because of our schooling choices he is thriving in all areas including Martial Arts and Music/Art. Choices made now pave the way for a very bright future.

Well, like you said, he's aware of it at least. That's progress. Baby steps.

I would love to have the book you postrd about helping children with Asperger's and High Functioning Autism. My son has be diagnosed with high functioning autism. I am sure we could put the book to good use around here.

    Hi ejsmom,

I am looking for other secular homeschooling moms in the Harrisburg area. We've been looking for a group or co-op but haven't had any luck so far. Have you had any success?

Although, and its members, have worked hard to compile a comprehensive directory of secular curricula, it does not attest that all materials advertised on our site, in our newsletters, or on our social media profiles are 100% secular. Rather, respects the aptitude of each individual homeschool parent to fully research any curriculum before acquiring it, to ensure that it holistically meets the educational, personal, and philosophical goals of each homeschooler.
