About Kat_FL
I work full time from home and due to my daughter (born in 2003) having anxiety disorder, we decided to start homeschooling full time. We only use FLVS FLEX, so it is all online. My daughter is a full fledged computer nerd (and I say that with affection), so this format fits her great. :-)
Travel, Science, SciFi, Reading, Hiking, Animals, Cooking

I work as a translator from home for the past 19 years, which makes it easier for me to deal with my multiple autoimmune issues. I am a proud mom to a anxious daughter who is a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP). We finally made the decision to pull her out of regular school in the middle of 10th grade and what a relief! We are using Florida Virtual School's FLEX program (all online), which fits our technical and computer-nerdy family very well... :-)

This site is an INCLUSIVE community that recognizes that homeschoolers choose secular homeschool materials and resources for a variety of reasons and to accomplish a variety of personal and educational goals. Although, and its members, have worked hard to compile a comprehensive directory of secular curricula, it does not attest that all materials advertised on our site, in our newsletters, or on our social media profiles are 100% secular. Rather, respects the aptitude of each individual homeschool parent to fully research any curriculum before acquiring it, to ensure that it holistically meets the educational, personal, and philosophical goals of each homeschooler.
