  1. I haven't taught any type of set curriculum, but I'm always learning new things and having my son learn with me. I'm a music therapist and my wife is also a music educator, so we play a ton of music. I have my son help with small building projects. We do a lot of gardening, farming, and cooking. To get him socializing a bit more, I signed him up for soccer and a tinkergarten class, but they haven't started yet. My mother-in-law just retired as a kindergarten teacher, so when she babysits she's teaching the kids different things as well. I think we have a good start, but I definitely haven't done anything formal. I'm really curious about why and how you chose to homeschool. I can definitely see many benefits to public education as well as homeschooling and am finding it difficult to know which to choose.

I’m set on it. As a matter of fact, I’ve started teaching my oldest at home. What about you?

Although, and its members, have worked hard to compile a comprehensive directory of secular curricula, it does not attest that all materials advertised on our site, in our newsletters, or on our social media profiles are 100% secular. Rather, respects the aptitude of each individual homeschool parent to fully research any curriculum before acquiring it, to ensure that it holistically meets the educational, personal, and philosophical goals of each homeschooler.
