About TravelingLuna
I'm a mom of two young girls, ages 5 and 7. I am a foreign language teacher by profession. My love of languages and travel has made it difficult for me to settle down in one place. I left the United States in 2006 and married abroad. It was in Norway where I had my first daughter and continued teaching, this time in Norwegia schools. By the time my second daughter was born, we decided to move to southern Poland and experience life there. I wanted to reconnect with my Polish family members and experience life in the country of my family's origins. Eventually we moved back to Norway, temporarily, and now have been back to Poland, this time the northern Gdansk region. All the moving has been exciting on one hand, but not very stable for my girls, who speak primarily English. Now that they are school age, education is more of a focus. Yet, I am not a fan of traditional schooling and have always leaned toward alternative means of learning. I would like to connect with people who have experienced homeschooling and see how I can possibly weave it into my girls' daily lives.
