About TreeYoda
I am homeschooling my high school son, an only child who will be starting 11th grade. He attended public & private school before HS. Prior to homeschooling I was an environmental consultant and had been the executive director of a nonprofit community forestry organization for 10 years. I have a BS in Landscape Architecture from Rutgers. While teaching, I am restarting my running program and rediscovering my flute. My son is very involved with the South Jersey Rowing Club (year 2) & is interested (as of now) in marine biology. He is also a beginning guitarist. We are looking to find NJ friends and colleagues as we wade through the ebb and flow of the changing waters of homeschool.

This site is an INCLUSIVE community that recognizes that homeschoolers choose secular homeschool materials and resources for a variety of reasons and to accomplish a variety of personal and educational goals. Although, and its members, have worked hard to compile a comprehensive directory of secular curricula, it does not attest that all materials advertised on our site, in our newsletters, or on our social media profiles are 100% secular. Rather, respects the aptitude of each individual homeschool parent to fully research any curriculum before acquiring it, to ensure that it holistically meets the educational, personal, and philosophical goals of each homeschooler.
