That's a nice area. I have a friend in San Tan Valley and those are nice little family communities out there. Well, now that you know we exist and we are fairly close, I feel like I have another resource :-) We are new to this homeschool thing. I'm looking for a group for the girls right now so let me know if you have any ideas. I just asked to join Happy Hearts Homeschoolers (from MeetUp) so will try a park day with them soon. My daughters are little and there are TONS of things for older-ish kids so my poor 4 year old who is very social needs an outlet. The 3 year old, on the other hand, is like my hubby and doesn't care if she has a playmate or not. She hates to share anyway. HAHA We are also a part of the Recess yahoo group and do a weekly park date but the amount of 'active' members is small. Too bad homeschoolers are unsocialized because I find they are impossible to nail down - so busy busy busy! HAHA

Hi! What part of AZ are you in? We are in Ahwatukee (south Phoenix, south of South Mountain) so kind of "cut off" from the rest of the city if it's not the East valley :-)

There are no limits to what you can do at Secular Homeschool, so join today and help build the community you have always wanted. is a community and information source where secular homeschoolers ARE the majority. It is the home for non-religious homeschoolers, eclectic homeschoolers, freethinking homeschoolers AND anyone interested in homeschooling irrespective of religion. This site is an INCLUSIVE community that recognizes that homeschoolers choose secular homeschool materials and resources for a variety of reasons and to accomplish a variety of personal and educational goals. Although, and its members, have worked hard to compile a comprehensive directory of secular curricula, it does not attest that all materials advertised on our site, in our newsletters, or on our social media profiles are 100% secular. Rather, respects the aptitude of each individual homeschool parent to fully research any curriculum before acquiring it, to ensure that it holistically meets the educational, personal, and philosophical goals of each homeschooler.
