About Elizabeth
Our small family lives in Nebraska (both prior service). My son, husband and our three spoiled dogs. Until April 2009 homeschooling never occurred to me. We struggled through 4 years of public and then over a year of a special needs school. I pulled him out when I realized what the isolation (as punishment), the call to the police by the school (for his verbal reaction to a bully on the playground!) and boring worksheets were doing to him. I work full time (on-call) from home and every day is different. My son has Asperger's Syndrome and I do adjust our routine to suit. This is my second year of homeschooling my eleven year old son. I am not as scared to homeschool as I was a year ago. My son's happiness and re-gained self esteem have improved so much I know this is right for him.

Although, and its members, have worked hard to compile a comprehensive directory of secular curricula, it does not attest that all materials advertised on our site, in our newsletters, or on our social media profiles are 100% secular. Rather, respects the aptitude of each individual homeschool parent to fully research any curriculum before acquiring it, to ensure that it holistically meets the educational, personal, and philosophical goals of each homeschooler.
