Slow Blogging

by rumbledolly on 10-19-2011 at 02:21 PM
I'm sorry for the very limited blogging I've done over the last few months. Things have been hectic and when they are not I find myself just sitting on the sofa vegging out thinking about all the things I could be working on!

Right now I'm in the final week of a great run of the Odd Couple - Female Version - By Neil Simon. It's been a blast....to read more click on the link!

Summer Summer Summer It's Like a Merry-go-round

by rumbledolly on 08-10-2011 at 06:27 PM
Quick, can you name the song that has the above title in the lyrics?

If you can you're getting old! If you had to Google it - shame on you

We've been here there and just about everywhere it seems this summer but we also seem to have stuck fairly close to home which is a little like an oxymoron.

I'm pretty sure

Time Certainly Does Fly

by rumbledolly on 05-16-2011 at 02:24 PM
Time certainly does fly around here. It seems like just yesterday when I lost my mind (that's what some of my friends say) and pulled my daughter out of PS to HS her.

It hasn't been an easy road - emotionally or financially - but the longer we do it the more I feel we've done the right thing. We still have tears over what I consider mundane things but in general my family is calmer, my DD hasn't developed the "dumb" as we call it here. We're all learning a great deal

Learning Geography via Amazing Race!

by rumbledolly on 05-03-2011 at 10:09 PM
Geography is one of those subjects you either love or hate. You can't be in or out on the subject, at least in my opinion. If you don't care Bombay is now Mumbai (and has been since 1995) or that Waterloo Texas is now better known as Austin then geography probably isn't much of a big thing to you. Around here we've been bitten by the Geo Bug since we started watching The Amazing Race a few seasons ago.

Although SecularHomeschool.com, and its members, have worked hard to compile a comprehensive directory of secular curricula, it does not attest that all materials advertised on our site, in our newsletters, or on our social media profiles are 100% secular. Rather, SecularHomeschool.com respects the aptitude of each individual homeschool parent to fully research any curriculum before acquiring it, to ensure that it holistically meets the educational, personal, and philosophical goals of each homeschooler.
