    Hi Lynne!
We live pretty close to you; I'm not far from Creedmoor.

  2. Hi. We are in Wake Forest, almost near Creedmoor. I still haven't found anyone locally who homeschools but I'm working on it. In the meantime, I am absolutely loving homeschooling. I'm glad to have found this forum. Thank you for the message.

Lynne, I just saw a post from you on the "Why do you homeschool?" thread, and I wanted to welcome you! I'm in North Carolina as well and I know exactly what you mean about not learning enough in the public schools. Can I ask where in NC you are? I'm just north of Greensboro. There are a few of us in the state -- you can find us in the NCGroup (you can get to it by clicking on Groups in the green navigation bar at the top).

It is the home for non-religious homeschoolers, eclectic homeschoolers, freethinking homeschoolers AND anyone interested in homeschooling irrespective of religion. This site is an INCLUSIVE community that recognizes that homeschoolers choose secular homeschool materials and resources for a variety of reasons and to accomplish a variety of personal and educational goals. Although, and its members, have worked hard to compile a comprehensive directory of secular curricula, it does not attest that all materials advertised on our site, in our newsletters, or on our social media profiles are 100% secular. Rather, respects the aptitude of each individual homeschool parent to fully research any curriculum before acquiring it, to ensure that it holistically meets the educational, personal, and philosophical goals of each homeschooler.
