Finally relaxed

by Miguel'smom on 05-10-2016 at 12:06 PM
So I'm not as stressed about next year. I took the local college's catalog and the Advisement course map of the five Universities that have Bio-medical engineering and marked off what classes need to be taken for which college. It's mostly lower levels of science and math. Those with the general education requirements give him 75 classes. Hopefully he can take the classes over a period of three years. If the case he'll be almost 18 by the time he graduates. The catch, because there always is one,

Sorry

by Miguel'smom on 04-25-2016 at 12:07 AM
So I mentioned I'm horrible at keeping up blogs right? I've been relaxing doing 2 / 3 co-ops plus field trips and Dr's were just to much. So we cut out the therapists and Miguel's medication. It seemed to just increase the severity of his mood swings anyway. I see my nurse monthly and my psychiatrist every 6 weeks or so. My meds have been the same for almost a year and I've been out of the hospital for the same amount of time so things are as stable as they're going to get. I'm not against seeing

And the race begins

by Miguel'smom on 09-09-2015 at 03:15 PM
So our schedule is
Monday - co-op /archery
Tuesday - school day
Wednesday - co op #2
Thursday - school day
Friday - appointment day / Friday pizza day

I don't think I'll get enough done for his portfolio but we'll see. I know we'll be living basically out of our car again this year. I have to get a book bag for all our supplies for homeschool. I'm already tired and our schedule isn't even close to full.

A homeschool mom that hates to read?

by Miguel'smom on 08-17-2015 at 11:14 PM
Is that even possible? The answer is yes you have just met a homeschool mom that hates to reading. I just got my sons US history book and I'm dragging myself through it. Now it's actually like a regular book. It's the young people's guide to American history. The history of us was to text look like. So after the first chapter we got rid of it. I'm hoping that this book will catch his interest since it aligns with his beliefs. He's not here this week so I started reading it and I was all happy that
