I was looking at the website, does anyone have any experience with BYL curriculum that they'd be willing to share?

What grades are you looking at it for?

Grade 4 this year! I was planning to go with Time4Learning until I saw this post and checked out the website.

Im not sure why the search feature isnt coming up with the legions of BYL commentary.
BYL is aprogram where instead of reading dull books geared as texts to kids, they (and you) read interesting books that integrate your language arts, social studies, art/crafts, and to some extent, sciences.
BYL has a pretty big book list, but if you only buy the spines (they are the keepers anyway), you could (and should) get the rest of the books from your local library.
T4L is an online program tat lightly touches a wide variety of subjects. My kid quickly learned to game the system, and I found that if I wanted to make any of the learning happen, Id have to supplement so heavily that Id rather just do it on my own.

If you want something thats pre-packaged, you might want to investigate BYL or MBTP a bit more. I dont see how t4l can do anything but disappoint, site sponsorship notwithstanding.

I also couldn't find it -- I found a few things by searching "Build Your Library" but I guess "BYL" is too short of a search term.

Thank you so much for your feedback! I noticed on the 4th grade book list that we already have at least one of the Usborne books it asks for, and the library is our best friend so I'm sure we could get many of the texts there. It seems super affordable and doable, so I'm definitely interested. Thank you again!!
