    Default Ideal Online Curriculum

Good morning!! In looking ahead to next year at high school curriculum, I've become frustrated with the options available. My husband and I both work outside the home normal business hours and have an hour commute to/from work, so I prefer my kids to use an online curriculum that I can check their progress from work and spend my time at home going over any trouble areas. We have tried several curriculum over the years, but most are either lacking in a major area, too expensive, or deeply religious. I am currently working toward a degree in computer science and was thinking about creating my own online curriculum for them. I figured I would get some ideas from the community of what would be included in your ideal online curriculum. I am listing some of the things I thought of below, but would love input from other homeschool parents.

    • Completely online
    • Affordable (Open Source Textbooks)
    • Automatically graded tests/quizzes (maybe with the option for parent/teacher grading for essay questions/fill in the blank)
    • Videos included for those who learn better seeing or hearing
    • Grade Tracking
    • Attendance Tracking
    • Complete (All Subjects)
    • Electives to choose from
    • Student Scheduling (A way for the student to know exactly which lessons they are expected to complete that day)

Any other suggestions would be GREAT!! TIA!

It sounds perfect, I also spent a lot of time going over those programs, and never found something that I liked.
