Default We are LOVING it so far!

We only just started but my daughter absolutely loves this homeschooling thing! I have never seen her so excited about learning before, she's always been a good student but now she is truly into it. I know it's early days and there will come days when she's bored, but I also know we have the freedom to take breaks and do some fun stuff. And I am also realizing how much time is wasted in public schools! What a cracked up system!

We r going to be adding art (I will be teaching her) and this week she is also starting to volunteer at the local Humane Society, one afternoon a week. Oh and we also added Spanish because she loves that subject. (We use Time4Learning)

Anyway, just wanted to share how much this is really working for us, I know we made the right decision to homeschool!

    Hugs, Beth

    Great to see this one
I'm a work-at-home mom to three, homeschool enthusiast, and avid planner fueled by lattes and Florida sunshine. My oldest is 6 and is a fircond grader (that's somewhere between first and second, naturally), my preschooler just told me she wants to learn how to read, and my toddler is a force of nature.

I gather all kinds of secular homeschool resources and share them at

Beth, that is tremendous follow-up!!! You must be floating!! Even after years of homeschooling, I'll be honest...I felt the same way. It just "fit" my boys and they thrived with it. Plus, there was absolutely nothing better than getting to learn alongside your kid. It re-kindled my own love for learning in a way I never expected.
