    Default Wednesday Roll Call, 11/30

Good Morning on this LAST day of November!
How are we 11 months into 2016 already!
    Crazy!

I swear, Halloween gets here and then poof... find ourselves sipping champagne, staring at a clock and seeing the new year roll in. It always zooms.

Of course then January/February seems to crawl... though that might be because of the weather and lack of sunlight.

OMG full house today. Last day with my Wed. only kid. He has been here 2 years. Started as a 1 day a week kids, transitioned into more days until he was full time. Then parents moved out of town and he went back down to 1 day a week. Now Winter weather is too much for Mom to worry about driving in. So, today..... is it.
So birthday party for 1, going away party for another. My hand, foot and mouth kid comes back today after 20 days. He had to be out 1 week but then with Thanksgiving, and he comes W/TH.... it worked out that way.
So, should be a little crazy here today.

DH was trying to stay home today. I am sure he will be back. I was a meanie and sent him to work. You have a slight cold. Go away. I do not need another toddler here today....HEHE.

I don't think we will do school today. We MAY do the Letter H. These kids will be bonkers and want to play for their last day. I need to gather all W kiddo stuff to take home. Need to put his collage alphabet into a folder for him. We will see how it goes.

And that is it. Hope everyone has a WONDERFUL Wednesday!

Who is taking a bunch of time off in December?? Little? Lots? None?

I'm trying not to take off a bunch of time. I feel like we're still struggling to get back into things again.

Teemie lost a tooth last night while she was sleeping, she said she woke up because she felt something in her mouth. It was one of the ones we've been keeping an eye on, now I just need the other one out and it feels like we'll b back on track. She just realized that one was loose yesterday. She has another one that is really loose, it flipped up on it's side the other day. She's so different than I was. I would wiggle a tooth relentlessly until it came out. I wanted them out as soon as possible and she doesn't want to touch it until it just falls out on it's own.

I gave up on my gift exchange gloves yesterday. I had lost a stitch somehow, and then when I went to fix it I yanked the wrong needle out. I don't think I have the patience for this right now. I went from socks to gloves anyway.

I need to take this week to finish up just a bit more art so I can bring it to the sale on Saturday. I also need put a final photo of the one drawing back on my phone, so I can get my signal boost and maybe sell it online. I want to start something smaller too, and maybe finish by the end of the week. I'm determined to get school done this week though. So school first.

HAHA! I was the same way. Loose tooth, that sucker would be out that day or the next. wiggle wiggle until it was done. Lost both my front teeth on the same day in Kindy. I remember wiggling them in class until they came out.

The last week of the month, we are off. DH and I are both off work this year(though I may end up with kids 1 day) and boys can play games and chill. I want to end 2016 relaxed and with a clean house and start 2017 the same way.

UGH on your gloves. Sometimes we just have to let things go. I was planning on making and taking down lots for Thanksgiving/my side Xmas. Realized between my brother, my own house, chaos, etc. that I just couldn't do it all AND sleep AND not get worn down and sick. I took down enough and let the rest go.

Hoping to get what I wanted to make done this weekend and then can mail with the gift that didn't arrive in time.

Going to be a long day. My Downs kiddo arrived in a MOOD. Mom said she woke up in a MOOD. No, take your kid home. Sheesh. She is a PITA enough in general without it being an extra butthead day for her. And she made a snarky comment about the other family. I kept my mouth shut, though I wanted to make a snarky comment about her, her family and her kids but I didn't. 9 more months of this PITA family and their kids. That will be 9 years of them. LONGEST 9 years of my life. Their 2 kids have given me more gray hairs than my own boys....

Swam my laps at the pool again. Couldn't figure out why my left shoulder was sore, until I recalled that that's the one I got the flu shot in a couple of days ago.

I'm doing some speed lesson planning. Two of my homeschool algebra students will be moving at the end of January. Their mom asked me if I could "speed-teach" the 2nd semester to them (or as much as possible) before they leave. So that's what I'll be doing over xmas break. On the positive side, all the lessons will be planned out to April for the kids that are remaining!

I am finally breaking down and calling an orthopedist for my bum knee. I keep hoping it will get better, but then something sets the pain off again. My daughter has been calling me Pooh Bear, because my response when this happens is "Oh, bother." I really want to be able to run again, and I'm afraid it's more serious than arthritis. Plus, I'm just stubborn.

College kids come home in a little over 2 weeks, one to stay for 3 weeks, the other for 4. Yippee!!!

I think I need one of those light machines. Seriously. Sleeping until 8:30, and waking from a sound, deep sleep by my youngest. I use to do so much and have so much energy, but now I'm struggling mightily. Ugh. My husband and I had both sworn off the PNW because we both can be effected by SAD deeply, but who could pass up a job on the coast? And my husband desperately wanted to move on from his previous position.

So that might be our Christmas present to each this year. Or early present.

I SO know what you mean crazyme!
Grew up in Northern CA. Seasons, SNOW, etc. and then when we got married, our first base was in Florida. I loved it. Warm, Sun, beach. After DH got out, we ended up following a job to Portland.
A few years in, SAD became a thing for me.
I switched to full spectrum light bulbs. This year I bought one of those tabletop ones. I am plugging it in this weekend.
I want to go back to Florida. This year is BAD for SAD. Last year wasn't too bad. Rains started late. Sunshine thru Nov.
This year, nope. Started raining at beg. of Oct. and hasn't stopped.
    HUGS!
I suggest at least getting a therapy light and using it. i got mine off craigslist for relatively cheap.

Good Day Friends! Nasty weather today. Glad the outside decorations are already up! If homeschooling our child was not suspicious enough to our neighbors, we decorated a few days before Thanksgiving. Actually I think decorating before Thanksgiving was stranger to the traditional folks. HAHA

Seeing my son reading a few times a day has to be the highlight of every day! Vocab is racking up!

Hope everyone had a very productive day!

OMG, who gave these kids sugar?
Oh wait, that was me. 2 bitesize cupcakes each and they are bonkers.
Doesn't help we are stuck inside and they are all here LONG today.
No voice control on the one whose last day it is. And his BFF(his bday) follows when they are together.
15 more minutes and 1 of them leaves, possibly both. The quiet will be nice.
Glad it is an easy peasy dinner because I am done.

On another note, my brother is in surgery right now. Back hardware removed. Clean rest of MRSA out of spine, remove brain catheter, get him re-routed for coloscopy bag and clean out the pressure wounds that started this all. We will see how all that goes....
