    Default Thursday Roll Call, 8/11

    Good Morning

Overcast again today. Does Mother Nature know is it AUGUST? Honestly. I am thinking I am going to have to can green tomato sauce and spaghetti sauce this year, at this rate. Granted, by tom. when it is 95.... I will be whining but...

3 kids today. Just hope poopapalooze doesn't happen today. Again. One little girl, parents give her Miralax and they are if a small dose works ok, a GIANT dose is better..esp. when it will kick in at daycare! I swear they are going to start paying for wipes and air freshener!!

    Goals today:
    • Empty the box of my knick knacks and books and return them to shelf in our bedroom. Been painted for 2 weeks. I think it is dry!LOL
    • Find the return slip for a package and get it bagged and tagged.

Boys have been asked to go on a hike tom. but it is to be HOT and we don't do well in HOT. Would be good for them, but I swear the Mom planning it... always ends up picking the hot days. I left it up to them.

Our turkey did get picked up yesterday. Not a thank you or anything from the gal. Some people nowadays. She got a FREE rare breed turkey. Granted we thanked her, because it got rid of a problem noisy bird but still. At least it is gone. 2 things adopted this week and no longer noisy issues to piss off neighbors.

And that is it here. Pretty meh day, so far!LOL
    Have a TERRIFIC day!

Oh and another group of emails unsubscribed today. You do not realize how many crap emails you get until you start doing this. Before I just looped them into the trash and whatever. Now, it is like ....
Plus I know I unsubscribed from a couple of these yest. but here they are today because it can take up to a week to get off the list. So, I unsubscribed again.
Once I get this one done, I will tackle my other 2 email accounts.

Rainy, overcast day here today too...my daughter is at a friend's house and husband is at work which means I have some time for just me until I go into work tonight at the library!

My goal for today is clean off the dining room table again and reorganize the homeschool shelf. I should also plan on calling the aquarium again just to ask again if they still have my membership in order. The one phone call I could have written off as a scam but now I've gotten a couple of emails. I really don't want to go and have to pay separately to get in just because the card they told me to keep is the one that is now expired or something. I want to double check this membership number.

A&w, hope all the poop comes out rainbows today.

Just in from dd3's preschool open house. She looked so small there! Same teachers DS had when he was 3, so that's nice. Then we went to B&N and had a brownie and milk at 10am. "Just the girls" morning. She'll be starting tues and thur 1/2 days next week. I'm excited. It'll be quiet around here.
I'm a work-at-home mom to three, homeschool enthusiast, and avid planner fueled by lattes and Florida sunshine. My oldest is 6 and is a fircond grader (that's somewhere between first and second, naturally), my preschooler just told me she wants to learn how to read, and my toddler is a force of nature.

I gather all kinds of secular homeschool resources and share them at TheHomeschoolResourceRoom.com.

That is just nuts that you have to deal with that.

    BUWHAHAHA

I would be happy if she just didn't poop today OR that it didn't smell like a toxic waste dump in my house when she does.

    alexsmom, how goes the dishwasher?

I actually got all the dishes washed this morning, minus the cookie sheet that is soaking(cooked bacon) because it is greasy and stuck bits.
No small feat today, as there were still dishes from lunch yesterday to do.

Dishwasher is working great, thanks for asking! (A little annoyed fhat I have to prewash everything by hand, but thst $300 bill motivates me to avoid a repeat.

Todays agenda here is pretty domestic - finish laundry, clean up the flat surfaces that accumulate junk, bake some banana bread and some cornbread muffins - making chili for dinner so need cornbread... and need banana bread when the bananas start getting black.

I like overcast and rainy days... because I dont really enjoy hot.
Now that we have solar power, though, Im more tempted to want sun.
And I can look at our power generation, can tell dsys that have some clouds versus sunny.
