Well, how is he about things like that? I thought it was a good idea to show my 11yo Poltergeist. She will never let me forget it. Spent the movie in my armpit if I recall correctly. So we temper the scary (horror) for her. The truthful...maybe not so much, you know?

I did it. He was fine--not sure about myself yet. The special effects were probably cheesy to him, but the ending really held up to the test of time.

"Mom, why is he (squatter) hugging him (Jason Robards) when he just yelled at him to get out of his house?"

"Because he wants to make him feel better or at least let him know he's not the only one who feels so bad. That's what people do. It's called 'compassion'."

This site is an INCLUSIVE community that recognizes that homeschoolers choose secular homeschool materials and resources for a variety of reasons and to accomplish a variety of personal and educational goals. Although, and its members, have worked hard to compile a comprehensive directory of secular curricula, it does not attest that all materials advertised on our site, in our newsletters, or on our social media profiles are 100% secular. Rather, respects the aptitude of each individual homeschool parent to fully research any curriculum before acquiring it, to ensure that it holistically meets the educational, personal, and philosophical goals of each homeschooler.
