Default Hi from Virginia, New to the site

Hi, I was very happy to find this site! This is my first year homeschooling my 13 yr old (8th grade) daughter so I've entered the homeschooling world late. I'm in Northern Virginia (the last two years), but originally from Colorado. I work full-time and look forward to hearing how others who work manage homeschooling. I do have a somewhat flexible schedule and fit my work schedule into 3 long days of which one of them is Saturdays so that gives me an extra day at home during the week. So I'm home 3 weekdays and Sundays. I'm looking forward to meeting and hearing about others on the site as we post about things to do with homeschooling

Welcome! My oldest is in eighth too - such a transitional time for us at least with wanting to be with his friends more!

Welcome! Homeschooling a teen can be so rewarding (and frustrating), but mostly rewarding. Ask questions and enjoy!

Although, and its members, have worked hard to compile a comprehensive directory of secular curricula, it does not attest that all materials advertised on our site, in our newsletters, or on our social media profiles are 100% secular. Rather, respects the aptitude of each individual homeschool parent to fully research any curriculum before acquiring it, to ensure that it holistically meets the educational, personal, and philosophical goals of each homeschooler.
