Hi! New member, just found the Facebook page and followed the link.

My wife and I are both 28, raising and homeschooling our (almost) 9yo son (grade 3). We fall somewhere between structured homeschooling and unschooling, and mostly let our kiddo learn through free play, self led activity, and doing (household stuff, grocery shopping, etc.)

We came to homeschool after 3 months of public kindergarten, where our previously placid child developed severe anxiety which manifested as violent anger. We’ve been homeschooling and doing therapy since, and he has transformed.

No questions or concerns from us, just happy to be here!

My son reacted in much the same way to public school. He was okay in kinder and the anxiety really manifested in first. He'd burst into tears and pound his fist in frustration. Started to cry when I asked him to open up a children's book. Got him out of there ASAP.

Rather, respects the aptitude of each individual homeschool parent to fully research any curriculum before acquiring it, to ensure that it holistically meets the educational, personal, and philosophical goals of each homeschooler.
