    Default Hello!

My husband and I have four children ages 1,3,5,and 8. This will be our first year homeschooling. We've spent a lot of time trying to educate ourselves as much as possible to make this leap. We are looking forward to the start of our new journey learning together! I'm glad I found this group and I'm excited to be able to connect with other like-minded homeschooling families!!

Welcome! I also did a lot of research before starting (Im actually packing up my “new to homeschooling” books to donate to our charter for other new families), and they really helped refine what my ideas and goals were for homeschooling. How well they match with your kids’ dispositions may be something entirely different! (Its like reading parenting books before you have kids.)

Let us know if youd like help or advice, whether its getting things done with littles underfoot (or in your lap!), finding curriculum, or to share cool resources youve found.
    Homeschooling DS13, DS6.

My spelling was fine, then my brain left me.

Welcome! Are your youngest ones really excited to have the 8 year old home with them?
Finished 4th grade, doing homeschool light this summer and planning 5th grade.

Although, and its members, have worked hard to compile a comprehensive directory of secular curricula, it does not attest that all materials advertised on our site, in our newsletters, or on our social media profiles are 100% secular. Rather, respects the aptitude of each individual homeschool parent to fully research any curriculum before acquiring it, to ensure that it holistically meets the educational, personal, and philosophical goals of each homeschooler.
