    Default Been here a while!

Hi! We have been homeschooling for our children's entire life. We unschooled in the toddler years and as school age approached we veered toward a more classical education. My children are not interested in going to regular school and that is the threat when they start to become to lax about their education. We are raising them to love learning - which is not always possible but we try. We do use real books for a lot of topics and not just textbooks. I was a career woman who came home to homeschool and wouldn't change it for the world. I love being at home and learning new things with them. I haven't forgotten my needs though. I recently started my own business out of my hobbies - organizing and event planning. My family is very supportive and the boys are learning about business. We look forward to the posts. I have to admit that I joined years ago but our family's journey took us for a loop but we are back on track now!

Rather, respects the aptitude of each individual homeschool parent to fully research any curriculum before acquiring it, to ensure that it holistically meets the educational, personal, and philosophical goals of each homeschooler.
