    Default Halloween plans?

Just wondering what others are doing or looking forward to.

No plans for us. NZ really only does Halloween in the most commercial and scary senses of it. So it is not very child/community/family friendly. I miss like the pumpkin farm/patch/station places from when we were in the US, the more community/family friendly things, and that it was totally acceptable that my daughter could decide to dress up in a halloween costume to wear to the supermarket at any point in October and we would not get weird looks.

Halloween is big in our neighborhood. We're turning the lights off in the house and going trick or treating. DS dresses up as a construction worker (his dream job is driving big machines) every year. He wears an oversized DWP vest and hard hat and carries a tool bag to collect candy. We get to see all the neighbors. Then we come home and tally up the candy and eat some!

This might be the last trick or treating year. BOO HOO!

Then again, teens around here do it well into high school... so we'll see I guess.

SecularHomeschool.com is a community and information source where secular homeschoolers ARE the majority. It is the home for non-religious homeschoolers, eclectic homeschoolers, freethinking homeschoolers AND anyone interested in homeschooling irrespective of religion. This site is an INCLUSIVE community that recognizes that homeschoolers choose secular homeschool materials and resources for a variety of reasons and to accomplish a variety of personal and educational goals. Although SecularHomeschool.com, and its members, have worked hard to compile a comprehensive directory of secular curricula, it does not attest that all materials advertised on our site, in our newsletters, or on our social media profiles are 100% secular. Rather, SecularHomeschool.com respects the aptitude of each individual homeschool parent to fully research any curriculum before acquiring it, to ensure that it holistically meets the educational, personal, and philosophical goals of each homeschooler.
