    Default Sponge Cake Recipe

Does anyone have a simple and easy sponge cake recipe? I have tried 3 times! And its not spongy! LOL! I dont know what I am doing wrong? With my 3 pages of food allergies and my severe allergy to artificial preservatives, I gotta make my own!
Bobo 13 yrs old - marches to the beat of her own drum, driven, out going and loud, yet she loves nature
Booger Boy 21 yrs old - quiet, self assured, confident and laying his own path

Without remembering what your food allergies are, hard to say.

If you look at wikipedia, they go into some detail on the various types of sponge cakes.
Passover spongecakes, Ive learned, have to be without a whole buncha stuff, including wheat.
So a google search for passover spongecake turned up this recipe:

Check the wiki for the style you think you want, then go from there, is what I would do.

Oh, and be sure youre aerating during whisking, and not taking it out too soon...

My spelling was fine, then my brain left me.

I don't bake sponge cakes. BUT, I do remember that the Great British Bake Off has an INSANE number of sponge cake bakes. I know it's on PBS if you need tips, OR, try out one of their many MANY recipes.
