I hate difficult mornings with my teenager. He has spent all week at a rock climbing camp (and has had a great time). He has also been grounded from all electronics this week for being a sh*t head. This morning, I informed him that this weekend we need to go see my parents and attend a 50th anniversary party for my Great Uncle and Aunt. He throws a teenaged tantrum complete with, "This summer sucks!" Why? Because he was going to get his electronics back tonight and thought he would spend the weekend in his room with his computer and phone. We haven't been home on weekends lately (or he's been grounded) so suddenly his summer "sucks." I wish he would see that if he would just stop being a sh*t head many of his "problems" would be solved.

    7yo & 53yo don't think that way either.

Ack. Maybe it's one of those things that only moms see?

my mom just spent 3 hours with my 20 yo dd at the PA DMV, trying to get her a PA licence. My daughter chose not to bring her glasses, insisting she wouldnt need them. She failed the vision test and apparently is angry at the DMV.

at what age did we become reasonable? Maybe not until we learned that our lives had become caretakers, not takers, and any error made a small child suffer?

Some people never become reasonable. Some people seem to have it down pat once toddlerhood is over.

I hate the time between ordering the new school year's materials and their arrival.

Hate that the water hose exploded at some point this afternoon and bled untold gallons of water everywhere in the backyard except in the garden. Hate that I had to blow $30 on a new hose. Hate that the pump ran forever because water was glugging out. Hate that DD is going through the crappy 7yo's battle for autonomy. Hate that the same people who gave me crap for homeschooling this child are now giving me crap for considering shipping her off to PS this fall. Parenting is a no-win situation.

I hate our telephone service provider like I hate nothing else at the moment, we have somehow managed to work up a $889.53 phone bill in less than 3 weeks....WTF, I am angry because we can't talk to an English speaking national at the billing problems and hate that the same company has shipped all our telecentres/customer service off shore to some abstract Indian town. Grrrrrrrrr!
