What, we lost our post counts from it? Well, I hate that.

I actually had a really good day today for the first time in a little while. But yesterday was my birthday and it kinda sucked. I hated that.

    sorry about the bad birthday!

see, for me, the hate thread is really a chat thread. I tried to start some other random threads to replace it, so it could be random chat not hate-based, but it never took off. My moms group has a 'not worth a new thread' thread which serves a similar purpose. But the love thread - i just cant stomach it. So this is my main squeeze. for days when i want chit chat and dont feel like talking about curriculum.

Me too! Though I did not disturb them. They are disturbing me! They are everywhere! And cleaning OCD style did not make them go away. So I finally caved and call a guy. We have only been in this place 2 weeks! Yuck!

i saw a post saying you might be a homeschooler if ants invading your home is a cause for study instead of stress - then i guess i'm not a homeschooler. i'm getting tired of losing the fight. i did manage to get them off my main work surface, but not the sink or the pet food area. i've been spraying and leaving out poison for at least 6 weeks straight, pretty sure

That's funny...we had an ant problem but only in the boys' bathroom. I set out ant traps and it didn't seem to help at all. Finally, one morning my kids woke me up to tell me that there were about 20 ants in their bathroom and I just gave up. I sat down and we looked up "Carpenter Ants" on the internet and then I showed DS10 how to set up a lab sheet with our hypothesis being that ants seem to come in the house after a heavy rain. We set up a chart and everything. Since that day I have not seen one ant (even after heavy rain). Ant study over. Not that I'm terribly upset about that...

Sorry about your sucky b-day, too, Farrar. Big event days here tend to go down that path - always a pleasant surprise when they don't.

SecularHomeschool.com is a community and information source where secular homeschoolers ARE the majority. It is the home for non-religious homeschoolers, eclectic homeschoolers, freethinking homeschoolers AND anyone interested in homeschooling irrespective of religion. This site is an INCLUSIVE community that recognizes that homeschoolers choose secular homeschool materials and resources for a variety of reasons and to accomplish a variety of personal and educational goals. Although SecularHomeschool.com, and its members, have worked hard to compile a comprehensive directory of secular curricula, it does not attest that all materials advertised on our site, in our newsletters, or on our social media profiles are 100% secular. Rather, SecularHomeschool.com respects the aptitude of each individual homeschool parent to fully research any curriculum before acquiring it, to ensure that it holistically meets the educational, personal, and philosophical goals of each homeschooler.
