    Default Competitive Pokemon Club

My ten year old son is interested in forming a competitive Pokémon club with other tweens and teens. Using competitive battle simulators and software obtained through www.pokemon-online.eu, battles take place on servers. Battle simulation goes beyond an interest in Pokémon cards, cartoons and popular video games. Knowledge/Skills required include: Pokémon tiers; stats, effort values and individual values; prediction and creative battle strategy; and Pokémon move sets. Players can be beginners or experts. Club members could meet up on servers for play and, if local, could meet about once a month to hang out and battle. We are located in Prince William County in Virginia. Members will work out other club details. If your child is interested in starting a club, please have them email Sean at [email protected]. If you would like more information from me, please email me at [email protected]. A good site that explains more about this type of Pokémon play is www.smogon.com/about

Hey Cara, yes he did! Sean was so excited -- his first email. I put the "ad" up here, on VA Eclectic and on Prince William Co HS. I'm hoping he can hook up with a few people and form this club. It's a big step for him -- socially. I told him I recognized Orion's name and knew you were from Virginia too.

My dd 10 will love this. She just read your post and wants to get involved. She doesn't have her own email, but I'll let her use one of mine. We just downloaded the client and tried it out, seems okay.

SecularHomeschool.com is a community and information source where secular homeschoolers ARE the majority. It is the home for non-religious homeschoolers, eclectic homeschoolers, freethinking homeschoolers AND anyone interested in homeschooling irrespective of religion. This site is an INCLUSIVE community that recognizes that homeschoolers choose secular homeschool materials and resources for a variety of reasons and to accomplish a variety of personal and educational goals. Although SecularHomeschool.com, and its members, have worked hard to compile a comprehensive directory of secular curricula, it does not attest that all materials advertised on our site, in our newsletters, or on our social media profiles are 100% secular. Rather, SecularHomeschool.com respects the aptitude of each individual homeschool parent to fully research any curriculum before acquiring it, to ensure that it holistically meets the educational, personal, and philosophical goals of each homeschooler.
