    Default Dolphin Stem Academy

    Hi all,
Has anyone had any experience with Dolphin Stem Academy? The prospect of a online STEM homeschool curriculum is interesting. I can't find any reviews of it save one google review. Besides that, nothing. If anyone has any other STEM recommendations that would be great also.
    Thank you for the help

    Welcome!
    I never heard of it!
Im dubious about the quality of any online school, because there is no direct human interaction assessing whether a kid is attending, and it takes away the parent’s knowledge of what a kid is learning, and how well that is going. Even when they have assessments (aka tests), my experience is that its quickly gamed. For example, we tried t4L for a while. My son aced his “assessment” on ancient Nubians, but when I asked what continent they lived on, he had no idea. (He guessed Asia, then South America.)
Id just avoid it, especially for the younger years where learning needs interaction, and for older years where the knowledge acquisition stakes are higher. (Just because he passed his online classes doesnt mean a thing if he doesnt fly through the college placement exams.)

    Atheist.

My spelling was fine, then my brain left me.

This site is an INCLUSIVE community that recognizes that homeschoolers choose secular homeschool materials and resources for a variety of reasons and to accomplish a variety of personal and educational goals. Although SecularHomeschool.com, and its members, have worked hard to compile a comprehensive directory of secular curricula, it does not attest that all materials advertised on our site, in our newsletters, or on our social media profiles are 100% secular. Rather, SecularHomeschool.com respects the aptitude of each individual homeschool parent to fully research any curriculum before acquiring it, to ensure that it holistically meets the educational, personal, and philosophical goals of each homeschooler.
