Someone recommended Brand New Readers to me, although we haven't used them. Over the years, I've picked up loads of early readers from book sales, thrift stores etc and we've started to dip into those. Its always hard to judge the level ln them, though. We've been working through BOB and are two books off from finishing set 5 (it's turning into a bit of a slog to finish the set!).

These Fun Tales: Duane Bolin and Sarita Holzmann, Dave Lilly: 9781887840682: Books are pretty good! My 5 year old does well with them!

I do really like the Progressive Phonics program too, but my daughter particularly likes - Teach beginning reading with systematic phonics. It used to be a free program, but now is by subscription only. If you're interested, you can sign up for a free trial. The cost for 1 teacher and 5 students is $47 for a year.

My daughter is in 1st grade and still reads her Tug the Pup book set. I need to get her more! This thread has been helpful!

She makes excellent recommendations in this podcast. Her podcast is very good, but definitely NOT secular. The books that are recommended are mostly secular, but I would make sure before hand.
