One subject I've wanted to have someone tackle here in From Soup to Nuts is the tricky one of finding your "support system" for secular homeschooling. For some SHS'ers that's not tough at all - - you live in a fairly secular area, and secular homeschool support groups are common enough. But for others, it can be more than just a little tough to locate like-minded peeps nearby.

Meg Grooms, blogger at Homeschool Gameschool, is an SHS member, and a long-time homeschooling mom of 6 kids who range from toddler to almost married. She and her family call sunny Central Florida home and enjoy volunteering in the community and exploring local life. Meg is one of the founders of Mid-Florida Homeschoolers, Central Florida's oldest & friendliest homeschool support group. She is uniquely qualified to talk about support groups, and might just be able to advise you on how to kick one off, too!

Join Meg here next week to discuss "Finding Your Homeschool Support."
