Default Redirected to an "adult" site

Per the banner at the top of the page, I'm reporting my issue here...

I was just doing a Google search and one of the results was this thread. I clicked to open it in a new tab (I'm using Chrome), and suddenly I had a pop-up window for porn videos, and when I clicked on the tab that was supposed to be the forum, it was an adult site. I closed it very quickly, going "how in the heck did I get there??"

When I went back to my Google search results and tried again, it opened the correct thread perfectly fine. Very weird.

I had a similar experience this morning. It's been occurring for several days.

I access this site through two mechanisms; one is giving problems, the other doesn't.

On my desktop computer, I use firefox and I have bookmarked the site. When I access via desktop computer/firefox/bookmark, I never have a problem.

On my iPAD, I use safari as a browser and I get to secularhomeschool.com through a google search. When I click on the google results, I have lately been directed to another site. A while ago it was MyFile (I think) and a window for the App store would open also; more recently (the last few days) it has been some sort of 'adult' site. Each time, when I hit the 'back' button and then try linking through the search results again, I get to secularhomeschool.com just fine.

Hmmmm....my "likes" are gone, too That kinda stinks.

I have not been having any redirecting issues....but a few days ago I was asked to "friend" someone I didn't know...who didn't seem to have much of a posting history. I did not friend that person. Their user name was "FamiliarChaos"....and that bugged me, because it seems a little suspicious. I tried to refuse the request several times and it kept asking. Finally, I left and re-entered the site from a different browser...refused the request AGAIN...and it went away.

Oh! All my likes are gone, too. I feel unloved. Yesterday when I logged in I did get some sort of notification saying my info had to be resent, but the notification when away before I could do anything about it and everything was normal.

I get the site redirect when I use the google custom search within SHS. The results turn up like they are supposed to, but the first time I tap (from ipad), I get redirected. backtracking to the search results page, I can tap on a result and get the right spot. Mystery of life.

But not able to get warm fuzzies for appreciating other peoples posts how terrible!

I know: not having the ability to "like" makes me realize how attention-starved I am! or how helpless unless I direct-quote!

Are we being what is it, trolled or something? Tin foil hat time.

My "likes" are gone, too! Now I know why nobody likes any of my posts (heh heh) .

No porn redirect, though (using Firefox).

SecularHomeschool.com is a community and information source where secular homeschoolers ARE the majority. It is the home for non-religious homeschoolers, eclectic homeschoolers, freethinking homeschoolers AND anyone interested in homeschooling irrespective of religion. This site is an INCLUSIVE community that recognizes that homeschoolers choose secular homeschool materials and resources for a variety of reasons and to accomplish a variety of personal and educational goals. Although SecularHomeschool.com, and its members, have worked hard to compile a comprehensive directory of secular curricula, it does not attest that all materials advertised on our site, in our newsletters, or on our social media profiles are 100% secular. Rather, SecularHomeschool.com respects the aptitude of each individual homeschool parent to fully research any curriculum before acquiring it, to ensure that it holistically meets the educational, personal, and philosophical goals of each homeschooler.
