  1. First day of Class at Hogwarts!

    What an exciting day! We had our first day of our fall "Semester at Hogwarts" at our co-op. After a year of planning and build up, there was the potental for a let down, but that didn't happen. It was a wonderful day full of excitement and wizards.

  2. Orientation for Hogwarts

    We have such a unique and awesome co-op. Several years ago, we went to a "theme based" approach for our semesters. Our themes have included Renaissance, Africa, Oceans, and America. About a year ago, I had a theme idea occur to me that (to me) was the most awesome one yet. I was the facilitator of our homeschool group, at the time and had been for many years.   3. Back to work!

    OK, summer is over and it is time for me to get out of this blogging slump.
    We started our new school year last week, a little later than usual because, well, we didn't have the curriculum.
    Our first unit is Geography. It's actually supposed to be the second unit, but the materials were on back order, so I decided to start with #2. It's worked out really well. Who knew that Geography would be a topic that they were all so interested in?
