  1. Sort of Back to School

My plan was to start school on September 12th and to kind of roll into it slowly. My baby was due-oh last week-and he still isn't here...

I really wanted to start the week after he was born-but he threw a wrench in that plan! I went ahead and started though-things were already written on a calendar, after all.

The day was extremely light. The kids spent most of the day running around outside looking for their cat that got out the night before...finally my 12 year ...

    I broke that promise.

Now I'm trying to get everything together at the last minute....and feeling like I haven't documented enough...then reminding myself that I documented even less last year and had a super easy review. I am using the same evaluator this year-I shouldn't be so insane...then ...
  5. End of Year Two

We've officially wrapped up our second year of homeschool and because of that I have been reflecting on the changes our family has underwent in the past two years.

When we first decided to homeschool I was full of conflicting emotions...deep down I knew what we were doing was best but I had the nagging inner voice (Along with the nagging outer voices of people who thought they knew best!) telling me that I was messing up my chidlren for life "Who are you to think you can do this?" ...
