So I mentioned I'm horrible at keeping up blogs right? I've been relaxing doing 2 / 3 co-ops plus field trips and Dr's were just to much. So we cut out the therapists and Miguel's medication. It seemed to just increase the severity of his mood swings anyway. I see my nurse monthly and my psychiatrist every 6 weeks or so. My meds have been the same for almost a year and I've been out of the hospital for the same amount of time so things are as stable as they're going to get. I'm not against seeing a therapist again but it's unnecessary right now so I'll let someone who needs it take my spot.

Now that Miguel's in 9th grade his grades count. He's a 2.5 student because he'd rather be playing video games and hanging out with friends then school work. I can appreciate that but then yesterday I looked at requirements for university entrance and it looks like most universities expect a 4.1+ GPA. I expected average GPA was 3.0 not 4.1! Plus his withdraw fail counts! So now because I've laid off science he has to retake Bio and Chem before attempting AP Bio. At least he wants to do the Chem and Bio through FLVS to get credit for them.

So because of the 4.1+ GPA his whole schedule has changed. He's only completed Spanish 2, Geometry, a semester of Physical Science and a semester of English. So he has to finish English, and take Bio, Chem, and Algebra II by Mid Aug. Then he can take Pre-calc, AP college language, AP US history, AP Psych, and AP Bio. If it sounds like a ridiculous course load for a tenth grader that's because it is. My rational for this crazy year is that he needs to bring his grades up and get ready to start his AA this summer.

I just hope for no burn out for me or him.
