Hypo manic mommy

So this is my first post and some back round is needed. I have bipolar, as does my husband. Bipolar is a mood disorder that causes points of depression and mania. Mania for me includes psychosis, irritability, and anger. My hypomania or lesser mania causes rapid speech, sped up motor system, lack of sleep and euphoria. This is where I'm at now. Currently my leg is shaking, like crazy, just so I can sit and type this. I have so much to say. The point of my blog is to show despite my mental health issues I can still home school and parent my son and hopefully reach others that are deciding if they can home school despite their health issues.

Currently my hypomania has helped with planing my son's Ninth grade curriculum. He has his own mental health issues. His eighth grade year was hell as we used FLVS and he hated it. Kicking and screaming all the way. So we are not using that again ever. My nephew loves FLVS though. I've made and scraped texts on ck12, poured over curriculum and decided that this year all he really needs is math, English and writing. He also needs to finish spanish 2 and learn to type well. I have him enrolled in two co-ops and I have planned his complete future up to his BS. Yes he is only 13 and only going into 9th grade. He has to finish FLVS before starting his new curriculum.

His curriculum
Co-op A
a variety class
(during his two free periods he'll do Excellence in writing)

Co-op B

Teaching textbook
Finish EIW assignment

His new schedule starts August 31st, 2015

Wow, both of you are bipolar? That sounds...intense. My mom and I are both bipolar and OMG growing up with 2 in one house was HARD! I'm in my first year of homeschooling my 5 year old, but I'm not hypomanic, just more basic manic. So far, it seems doable but I've left in plenty of "mental health days" as we aren't doing a co-op yet. I think that will be the hardest part. Good luck!
