I've spent all weekend wondering what the Engineering article is about. Glad I'm not being blocked because I spend too much time here!

Hi all...I'm back in the saddle today after being away for a family funeral, so I will be in contact with our tech support to see if we can get these issues worked out ASAP. Thanks for your patience!!

Ok everyone...Michael has worked diligently on the issue this morning and we think we have it in hand....could everyone check out their access again and add to this thread the URL of any particular thread that still might be giving you trouble? Thanks!!

Oh Topsy !! HUGS I am glad you are back.

I wasn't seriously annoyed, after the last post on threads we couldn't get to, I was wondering if others couldn't get to these too. It is just strange that it started all at the same time.

FYI: I still can't get to the Homeschool Engineering thread. It's no big deal of course, just thought I'd let you know.

Continuing to work on this issue today, folks! For those of you who have been unable to view the Homeschool Engineering Article, make sure to try opening it from the home page. You should be able to view it via that link. Thanks for your patience and for keeping us informed of what is working and what isn't.

There seem to be quite a few pages that I "do not have permission to view" as of today...I'm still sorting through a vast number of new posts, but I'll come back and give some specific URLs in a bit.

I am still having issues with a couple of threads.

I'm just a bit of an addict, overdosing after a period of enforced withdrawal...almost two weeks without a computer....what did we do before the Internet?...I know I was around before it (if I'm honest, I finished college, and even a few post-baccalaureate programs, before it was popular or readily available...I was still using a typewriter to type papers in my Bachelor days, and using Basic to program in computer class in high school), but I can't imagine how I spent my free time...oh yeah, I used to read this (http://www.creativepro.com/files/story_images/20081205SAWG_fg16a.jpg)...though mine is in a black leather bound version (and cost more than mine and my kids' computers combined :().

LOL Me too ! I didn't get my first computer till 1988 and it was black and white and didn't have any thing close to internet. Then my second came in 1991 and I could dial into local bulletin boards. I didn't figure out there was internet till 1994 ish.

Before that I was outside a lot, fishing, camping, & hiking. I was out dancing a couple days a week. Back when my rear wasn't as wide and flat from sitting at the computer. ;-)

Shoe this one is an easy fix. If you access the Articles from the front page, or the Articles page and not the Forum you can read them !!!

LOL if Topsy started it, it is most likely an article and unreadable from the forum NEW POSTS !

Hey...good explanation...If Topsy made it, don't try accessing it from the New Posts section!! ;)

All articles get a "dead link" that comes through on the New Posts section anytime someone comments on them, but don't try accessing them via that link. Please go directly to the article itself from either the home page or the Articles page to access and view, and you shouldn't have any problem. Thanks!

Ah, I see. Is this a new thing? Because I thought I remembered accessing those from the New Posts before, or am I just losing my mind? At any rate, thank you both for your replies.

More than sometimes I'd say.

(Oh, and see how I combined my responses to all these posts into ONE reply...cuts down my total number of posts...I could have gotten four or five posts if my goal was simply as many posts as I could make :p)

I don't know that answer, it is kind of hit and miss. Sometimes I can read them in the forum, sometimes not. It does save on stress for me to just read them from the front page, or the articles page though !

LOL ! You are just so much fun to pick on. ( I can take a single post and multi-quote it ! )

Ditto here, can't access any of those pages either yet today. There are probably more to add to this list, I'll get a list started soon.

AND, now I can't "mark forums read" from the main forum page. Ugh, I'm really getting annoyed now.

Carla, the advice from StartingOver and Topsy worked for me-if I access those pages on the "Home" page via the articles, I can see all the comments AND they disappear from my "New Posts" listing as well. I have not found a way to access those posts or mark those forums as read from the "Forums" page.

The Marking Forums as Read issue is still not fixed yet. I had hoped to have it fixed before the weekend, but occasionally even the support peeps need a weekend off, I suppose! ;) I'm sure it will be fixed early in the week next week though. Thanks for your patience with that one!!
