Has anyone ever attended one of these events? Just curious what you thought about it? How old we're the kids? The "class" available about an hour drive from here and only lasts an hour, so I want to know if they are worthwhile. My kids are almost 8 & 9.

We live a block from one and my kids have taken classes and camps several times.
At our location, the thing to watch for is enrollment levels. The location is small and a camp can sometimes get way too full.
My kids have LOVED the robotics classes though. It's a great way to learn lego robotics. Once or twice a year they have a groupon/living social deal for the classes, too. In the last homeschool robotics class that they took, my three kids were the only ones in the class.

I've started talking my daughter to free play sessions at our local Bricks 4 Kids and she LOVES it. I'd say it's worth a shot at least once to see if your kids enjoy it.

They do programs at our local library-always full when they come. We've also done their drop in playtime-my 8yo girl loves it. always get the 5 punch pass for $20 (saves us $5 long run).

This sounds so neat. I just looked up where the closest one is and it's about 6 hours away from us :(
