One of the things I have planned to do is a daily journal obviously when we start this year I want to do something super simple just ask a question that can have a simple answer help her write it out and maybe even have her draw a picture to go with it while she is younger. I saw these (http://www.chinaberry.com/prod.cfm/pgc/11900/sbc/11909/inv/15364) and thought it was a great idea for questions to ask but there are only 100 cards I think so I will need other ideas then these. Anyone else have any books or something else with ideas for a daily journal?

We are going to do a daily journal also for my 5 year old he will be drawing a picture and since is working on writing still I will help him write about what he learned..barring that he can make something up lol

My older son will have 2 journals. A journal about the day, and a personal journal on his laptop that he does not have to share with me.

I like this blogger's ideas about journaling-she does not do a daily journal but I don't see why you couldn't.

That is very cute! I also like the idea of how she does it I just worry that she might have a hard time thinking of her favorite and least favorite part of every day but maybe ill just do other topics when she has a hard time thinking of that.

Maybe you can set up a schedule. Monday can be "What I did over the weekend" and so on?

I just found this (http://www.theteacherscorner.net/daily-writing-prompts/) site and thought I would share for those of you with older kids they have a journal prompt for every day separated by month it is neat because some of them tie into the history of things that happened that day!
