I saw a set of "Dinosaur Cove" books in the last Scholastics flyer (Canadian). I'm wondering if anyone has read them, general content, did you enjoy them, and do you think they'd work well for a 6 year old boy? Is there violence / fighting? We like the "Magic Tree House" books, but I haven't branched out too much into other kid's chapter books series yet...

I skimmed one awhile ago... I don't remember anything any more action packed than MTH. It's maybe slightly easier.

My boy liked them when he was obsessed with dinosaurs. I don't remember any fighting. Mostly just adventure.

My 9yo son says he's read all of them. He says there isn't really any fighting, but there can be some scary parts. Nothing really bad ever happens.

Another series my son adores is BeastQuest. Similar reading level, I think.

My youngest is reading the MTH books now, but loves dinosaurs...I will have to check these out and see what he thinks. :)
