I am not able to post using the quick reply. The space to type in is blue and I can even click on it. I am also not able to edit my post when I go advanced post. It is kind of making me crazy to catch an error in grammar and not be able to fix it. I use explorer if that makes any difference. Thanks, Julie

Thanks for the feedback, Julie. There is definitely a bug in the editing posts functionality which our tech support is aware of. He'll be looking into the inability to reply issues today as well. So sorry for the inconvenience!

For the quick reply. Which version of IE are you using? I'm currently writing this in IE 8 using quick reply.

I have also tested in Firefox for PC and Mac as well as Safari.

Edit:

Testing edit post in Firefox. Had issue in IE

Edit 2:

Testing edit in IE again after change

I have no idea which version of internet explorer we have. I am very low tech, sorry! The quick reply is working for me now though. When it was not working I did get a message window that said something about a "stack" and "line nine."

If you click help then about in IE it'll tell you the version.

I made a change, so quick reply and edit should both be working now. I will be making another update shortly, everything should be back to normal now though. If you notice anything else please let us know.

thanks

And now it's intermittently not working on my iPad when it always worked before.

And now it's intermittently not working on my iPad when it always worked before.

It's got to be an issue with Safari. I can't post on my iPad or using Safari on my Mac mini. I had to open up Firefox in order to post. I do all my posting/reading through my iPad/Safari.

ETA: It doesn't matter if I try to post a quick reply with Safari or use the "go advanced" option. In either case all I get is a blue space where you would normally enter text. Safari on my Mac is 5.1.2 - I don't know what version is on my iPad, though I am running the most recent version of iOS on an iPad 2.

Ditto on the iPad. I thought hitting "go advanced" might resolve it, but no dice.

ETA: Oh, and you're right! It started after I updated iOS after I got back!

Ditto on the Safari, switched to Chrome, and am able to post again. :)

I've been having this problem intermittently (including today) with Chrome on my android tablet.

For me it's not intermittent. Posting on Safari just plain doesn't work. Firefox is my only access to the forums.

Hmm... why's it working for you, Michael, and not for us?

I'ved tested on Safari on Mac and iPad, so far I haven't been able to find an issue.

For anyone using Safari on a Mac. First logout. Then, from the Safari menu Empty your cache. Also from Safari > Preferences. go to your privacy tab, and you can either remove all cookies or click on details and type in secularhomeschool and click remove all.

This will clear out any old information your computer is storing. After that, login and try to post. Let me know if you're still having issues.

Couldn't post this AM using my iPad. Had to wait until I got to the office.

No dice. I'm even running the updated Safari (5.1.5) after a software update this morning. Cleared the cache and cookies on both iPad Safari and the one on my Mac and I'm still getting the same grey box. The formatting buttons load, but that's it. The white text box portion does not appear.

Can you post here or email me a screenshot of the box you're getting?

From your if you do command + shift + 4 it will allow you to drag a area and then place the screenshot on your desktop.
