There are so many board games that teach about money, it's hard to choose which one to buy. Do you have any favorites? Thanks!

We have Money Bags - http://www.amazon.com/Learning-Resources-Money-Bags-Value/dp/B00004TDTQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1324473600&sr=8-1 - and the kids have a lot of fun with it. It really helped ds learn coin values and it's helping with adding and making change. DD can play with a bit of help.

Our kids liked the play money you can buy just about anywhere--bills and coins. They would set up a "store" or "restaurant" and charge for items, make change, etc.

We usually have a Monopoly game going on our dining room table. Plus the girls like to turn their play kitchen into a grocery store with everything priced and then they go shopping with real money.

The Game of Life is popular here, and I like it because it ties in the concepts of work, college, family, unexpected expenses, insurance, etc. Gets the idea in their heads that money isn't free.

I have "PayDay" wrapped and under thee tree. I remember playing as a kid - you have to pay rent, etc.

I thought of this thread yesterday - we were playing 'small world' which uses its own money, but Raven was busy making change anyways . . . like when the banker said he'd earned 16 coins that turn, he handed the banker 4 1's before the banker had time to hand him his payout, so he could get 2 10's . . .
