My girls (6 and 8) want to put on plays at home for family members and friends. Possibly include family and/or friends in a play. I'd welcome any leads on this one! Thanks.

I just helped out the drama class at our homeschool co-op, and we did some scripts from this website (http://www.aaronshep.com/rt/index.html). Depending on how many people will be involved, these can be kind of fun. You can even double-up on roles, or make the narrators into one person instead of three or more. We did Lightning Larry with one group and Slappy Hooper with another.

DS theater class did several short plays from Terrible Tigers - a bunch of animals based folk tales. Super cute plays and very flexible

One was an adaptation of aShel Silverstein poem too.

Readers theatre scripts can be good fun to adapt; I see Mark has already linked to the site we used.
