Hey fellow Oregonians!!

So I've been moving a lot this last year, and just realized that I should probably look up the state laws around here:rolleyes:

From what I read, it's very simple, but I want to be sure.

My son won't be 7 until March, so I don't have to notify them of his existence until next school year? And I have no portfolio to do, just test him before grade 3?

That seems lax, even from a FL native. Not that I should complain:D

Thanks All!!

He will need to benchmark test by August 15th of the year that he completes grades 3, 5, 8 and 10. You choose and pay for the testing to be administered by a state-certified tester.

Pretty easy here in Oregon:)

Thanks :D

We should still be here then (I've threatened my husband with my well-seasoned cast iron upside his head), so it's good to know for sure.

I was keeping a portfolio-ish type thing just in case. I might just keep on, since it'll be so cute years from now. :)

Hi Airen, my husband and I were considering moving to OR as well. We are in FL at the moment and are looking to get away from this area, within the next year or two. I was wondering what the move was like. Any advice you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
