I am so thrilled to have found this site. I have two boys; 9 and 5. I have been homeschooling my 9yo for almost six months now and we love it. He is thriving but misses being around kids and I would love to find a meet up group of secular homeschoolers.
His major interests are science and technology and he loves to read.

Welcome bookworm!! Sounds like you have already gotten the homeschooling "bug"! ;) Fun, isn't it?? I hope you will be able to find a local group soon! You might want to try using our member locator (http://www.secularhomeschool.com/content/230-Using-the-Member-Locator) to find other homeschoolers in your local area. Oh, and be sure to add yourself to the Texas Group (http://www.secularhomeschool.com/group.php?groupid=27), as well, if you haven't already. In the meantime, we would be delighted to be your "virtual" support group!!

I have a newly 10 year old son and daughters that are 7 and 8. We are in McKinney.

Hi bookworm!
My family lives in Lewisville, TX. My daughter is 5 soon to be 6 in August and my son is 16 months old. I've been homeschooling my daughter since preschool and she'll start first grade in August :)
Welcome! I just found this site myself a couple weeks ago and I love it!
