The other day I found a copy of The Hinged Square & Other Puzzles in the bookstore's sale bin, and picked it up. Wow, it seems fascinating. It has a lot of puzzles, but also information about how the puzzles fit in with mathematics.

Looking at that made me wonder about what other aspects of mathematics I could try to explore with my son. Doing some google searches I found a couple of neat pages:

I love the idea of trying to present math as a sort of living field. There's still more math to discover and explore.

The second site looks like it covers a lot of the same topics that are on the computer science unplugged site. I didn't get far on the other site , but the infinity hotel sounded a lot like the cat in number land book
