I guess I won't rest until I have at least one post in each thread :p

I haven't tried these yet, but... don't they look yummy? http://savour-fare.com/2010/03/17/bacon-salted-caramel-brownies/

Bacon makes everything taste better. I think I'm going to go make a batch of those right now.

Don't they though? I can't make them today because I don't have any heavy cream and, although it's a beautiful day today, I don't feel like getting in my car and driving to the grocery store. Maybe I'll pick some up tomorrow when I'm out and about. I also saw an article on Consumerist about bacon doughnuts yesterday. I watched some show on the Food Network where they were talking about Voodoo Doughnuts (http://www.voodoodoughnut.com/)up in Portland, and I would looooove to go to that shop and try out their bacon doughnuts.

Mmmmm...bacon...is there anything you can't do, my beloved bacon? Though I do have to wonder at the sanity of the person who first mixed bacon with my other love...chocolate. That's one twisted individual. But it looks so good in the picture!

Today I bought the supplies that I needed for this recipe... (heavy cream and semi-sweet chocolate) and at some point this week I WILL try to make those. I think bacon and chocolate would go pretty well together, actually. Now, a whole bouquet of bacon roses as a gift would not be a welcome sight though... DH showed me a picture of that a couple of days ago. I love bacon to eat, but bacon as a art form, no thanks!

This sounds like something we'll have to whip up next weekend - sounds like something that could be delicious or it could go horribly horribly wrong!
