I found this fun interpretation of the alphabet this morning. It's proabably a bit too adult-themed for small children who are actually learning the alphabet but parents and older kids might enjoy it.

Neill Cameron's A-to-Z of Awesomeness (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/culturepicturegalleries/7520934/Neill-Camerons-A-to-Z-of-Awesomeness-a-comic-book-alphabet.html)

Yeah, even my (admittedly not in to icky stuff) 13 yo son thought this was too weird. Plus he didnt know some of the characters . . .like Dr who . . . I guess I only have myself to blame .. .

I was thinking Noah and his friend Aidan would get a kick out of it and that I could even use it to teach some new vocabulary words, but then I got to the J and then the L and I thought "yeah, maybe not!" I think I'll print the "A" for him though because we just studied the Aztecs and I know he'd love it. So thanks for sharing anyway, David! And high schoolers would probably love it.

L? What about J? Who is that, anyways?

I did mention J, Cara, lol, look again. I know, I kept going after that one thinking "how bad is this going to get?" but the "lascivious lollipops" of the L's made me decide to skip the end. What's "S"? Sexy Sadistic Seductresses? lol. Is "seductresses" in the Scripps Spelling Bee? Talking about which, no homeschoolers qualified as finalists for our local area and I was disappointed to hear that. I'd be all over spelling bees if I was growing up here. We didn't have those in France, that I recall... 'cause I would have been the champ. My spelling is getting worse now but in my time, I was the queen of spelling!

I think "J is for Joss" is Joss Whedon, director of shows like Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Dollhouse, etc.

BTW, S turned out to be pretty tame. S is for Sulu and Spiral swashbuckling in space with several serrated swords. Of course you had to get through R to get there...

Sorry I read too fast, Natalie . . . and thanks for answering the question David

Oh don't tease us like that David! What's R then? I don't want to go through the first 17 slides to find out! :)

Yeah, that's OK. I have a regurgitating cat right now so I'm good. lol.
