Hi everyone! I'm looking to connect with more secular homeschoolers. I'm writing a blog (ALICE IN WONDERMENT Homeschooling my crew on a course of wonder, beauty, and awe (http://www.aliceinwonderment.com)) and am pretty active on Pinterest. I'd love to join some of the group Pinterest boards, and I'd also like to create blog posts here on secularhomeschool.com.

Is there someone specific to contact to join a Pinterest board?

How do I become approved to post blog entries?

Thank you.

I don't know about SHS pinterest boards, but as to the blogs - do you mean you want to contribute to the main site blog here or use the personal blog on this site? Check your profile for the latter. On the left there's a tab that says "view your blog posts" or something similar, which should take you to a page from which you can create new blog posts. For anything through the site (official SHS blog or boards), I'd say as an admin. Maybe Topsy?

Hey there, Alice...sorry I was so slow to respond. It's been a doozy of a day around here! :P BakedAK is completely right, but you may not have been able to see the option until you had at least two moderated posts in the forum. The blogs are opened once you change from "newbie" status to "junior member" status, so hopefully you'll see that option in your profile now.

Here's more info on the blogs: http://www.secularhomeschool.com/content/258-blogging-shs-com-all-you-ever-wanted-know/

As far as Pinterest, we haven't really created much in the way of group boards, but I will definitely get your blog added to our "Secular HS Blogs (https://www.pinterest.com/secularhs/secular-hs-blogs/)" board! (hope you'll follow us over there on Pinterest).
