Wanted to know if curriculum is tax deductible, or if we get any credit . .blah blah
I'm keeping all receipts, thought I'd get a head start on this info!

Thats a state by state thing, you need to check w locals. Most states dont.

NC doesn't, and last year the accountant told me not to hold my breathe for it anytime soon!

Never been deductible in VT either.

I don't think anything hs-related is deductible in TX either. Oh, how I wish, lol.

It is not deductible in Idaho, either. However, here if you do a dba (doing business as) your hs name, you can deduct, but you have to be careful with it.

Texas does not have a state income tax, but it is not deductible on the federal income tax.
Memberships to zoos and museums ARE though. Not as educational expenses, but as charitable contributions.

Up to a certain limit is deductible in IL and actually they increased the limit recently. You need to check with your states tax agency or another reliable source on this. My local school district actually sent somebody to my house to tell me to keep my receipts so I can deduct them.
